Oh Yes - the police raided what was meant to be a secret homosexuals dance hall. The men were not just kissing - they were dancing the tango - how shocking is that??!!

Later - butler Barrow plays tonsil tennis with a member of the Royal's staff.

I have nothing against gays Muddy but it's so ........out in the open these days and it's so wrong for it to be accepted. Its giving our young people the wrong impression of what's right and wrong. I don't hate gays or want to see them persecuted but society these days seems to be so obsessed with making you accept things that for thousands of years have been taboo, they are even making laws so you must accept them......Think...The king's new clothes....

Just don't do it in the street or on the telly it's weird and abnormal.....

OGF
There has always been homosexuality.
It’s nothing new.
In Victorian England it was well known that telegraph boys used to make extra money as rent boys .
There have always been clubs where homosexual have gone to meet others.
Surely it’s better that things are out in the open now .
Remember how this grateful country treated Alan Turing ?

No problem as long as it's out of sight Muddy.
Why is it better to be out in the open?
I don't have a problem with people viewing pornographic material, I consider two blokes making love in the same context, but it should be kept where it belongs....Private

Re: Downton Abbey - the film.

Seeing as The cinema was full of oldies ( myself included ) I hardly think it going to shock anyone.
They only had a very quick kiss good bye !

Next to Outlander and Games of thrones it’s positively gentle .

It doesn't shock me Muddy, I just feel a deep despair at the way society is going these days......I'm not really religious, but it seems as religion disappears this sort of low moral standards increases.....

OGF stated; "It doesn't shock me Muddy, I just feel a deep despair at the way society is going these days......I'm not really religious, but it seems as religion disappears this sort of low moral standards increases....."

I have to agree. I'm not particularly religious but also wonder if there's a connection about the decrease in one and increase in the other. I also feel that there's a new coarseness regarding political issues that in the past were handled in a more respectful manner, even though the disagreements about issues was as strong then as today.
