Boffins at it again
A new study is about to explore the effects that gardening tools, combined with different tasks, have on our bodies. The RHS have got together with Coventry University to do the research.
Boffins want to assess the performance of different gardening tools to see if they need re-designing to reduce the risk of injuries.
Researchers will be wearing Lycra bodysuits (should be interesting
). These bodysuits will be fitted with reflective sensors, which record movements made during gardening tasks. Both men and women, of different age groups and capabilities will all do different tasks so it can be decided what is beneficial to health and what is harmful.
After all these years of people gardening . . . . .
