Pancakes

Pancakes used to be a once a year treat but made some last night. The proper ones all big and crusty edges.

The traditional way with lemon juice and sugar is always nice or maple syrup and clotted cream.

There is so much you can do with them so what do you put in your pancakes !

Ooh, I haven't made pancakes for years solo. I used to love 'em as well.
Lemon and sugar for me. Yummy.

Don't have lemon handy, so all I put on them is honey.
I made some a couple of weeks ago.

I had some yesterday morning in the caff - a stack of them with maple syrup, blueberries and strawberries - absolutly delicious!!!

The cafes only warm up those pre made fiddly thing. I mean pancakes made with real eggs, milk and fried fast in red hot fat to get those gorgeous crispy edges

I prefer to make Scottish Pancakes. I used to make them for my ex partner to have with his bacon and egg etc breakfast! Yuk!!

I love pancakes whether sweet or savoury - favourite is maple syrup with lemon juice, closely followed by strawberries and cream !!
