How about the government suing the builders???

So now less than twenty years after 'we' paid an enormous sum to build this ugly monstrosity, we're being asked to stump up another £100million to repair the roof (again).

Shouldn't the government call the builders back to carry out all essential repairs at no cost because the building should be 'under guarantee' for X number of years???

Why is it the builders fault?
Why sue the builders?

It seems you're barking up the wrong tree, UJ.

£100m for a roof? More unrealistic guesstimates.

Hi

Builders build things, generally speaking, in accordance with the plans.

The issue lies either with the Architects who did not calculate the tolerances properly or the Clerk of Works who supervised the actual construction.

Having said that, given the amount of hot air produced by a building full of Politicians, the problem could have been foreseen.

Give the man time he has to scour the internet first to find something to link builders with the scumbag party (take your pick)

When our windows failed in less than 5 years it wasn't the architects who had to put it right it was the builders. Why would this be different ?

What's the betting that the builders were Taylor-Woodrow - a benefactor to the scumbag 'nasty party'.
