New or Second hand

Hi

Furniture and stuff, do you always buy new?

I am changing all mine and I must admit I am addicted to Gumtree, Facebook and Ebay for nearly new stuff and ex display.

I have no problem with this, but I know many insist on new.

Depends what it is Swimmy. I would never buy a second-hand bed.
Nothing wrong with anything made of wood though.
Electrical items I might be wary of.

I got all my beer glasses at a car boot sale. Does that count?

We've got two secondhand beds, and they're both 100% wood.

All our stuff is antique which is dirt cheap nowadays. In fact all our antiques are worth less than we paid for them. We didn't buy with the aim of ever selling but I think we both kinda assumed they would increase in value.

Sorry, I meant the mattresses. I know they hoard bed bugs.
Nothing wrong with bases.

All our antiques, of which we have quite a number, are inherited.
