I made a post about similar things on that cat video thread, then I saw this and thought I should copy that post over to this thread.

It only takes a split second for a dog to switch from being playful to being angry, and even less for it to bite.

This child is too close to the dog. Don't get me wrong, I love dogs and would choose dogs over kids every time, but this is reckless behaviour by the supposed adult in charge in my opinion.

Re: Baby loves the dog

OMG how stupid some people are.

To a dog the sound of a human baby crying (or making the kind of noise that kid was making) can sound very much like an animal in distress.

A dog is programmed to respond to distress calls, if from it's own species to defend and if from some other species (e.g. a two legged human) then maybe attack.

No one loves dogs more than I do but you have to think about how a dog sees the world and it sure ain't the way most humans do.

Of course if something happened to the kid then all hell would break out on social media and the billions of muppets who think they know it all will be crying for the dog to be put to death.
