The rate of firearms fatalities there is forty times that of UK. But nobody running for office is likely to suggest rescinding that second amended.

Most Swiss men are armed. and in case of attack from a foreign power, the Army could be ready to defend in less than one hour.When leaving the forces they are allowed to keep their rifles at home
They do not go around killing people although there are occasional domestic crimes.

Too many violent movies and computer games, add to that, the ease with which you can obtain a gun in America and you've got a lethal combination.Same games and movies here, but less chance of obtaining a gun and re enacting the scene, but we're catching up. In order to commit gun crime, the idea and thought seed has to come from somewhere.
Young people are being desensitised to murder and violence, it's on the news almost every day.....
