How do I know Christmas is on its way?

Silly I know but ever since the Coca Cola lighted lorries advert comes on I know it is xmas time.
One year they didn't show it and I thought no Christmas this year

How do I know Christmas is coming? The shops are stuffed to the gunnels with tat, everything is red, gold and silver, or chocolate or alcoholic and folks are persuaded into buying rubbish they don't really want or need. Bah Humbug. I refuse to get on board until the second week in December.

How do I know Christmas is on the way?
Just spent nearly all day at a Christmas fair, with carols playing & in between a singer singing them. Decorations everywhere & lots of Christmas related gifts to buy & I have to do it all over again tomorrow & it's far too early.

The grouse advert does it for me, that and the Christmas cake in my airing cupboard, each time I put sheets away I see it.
