Best bread for toast?

Toast is one of the reasons i get out of bed in the morning but have you noticed some breads are a complete disaster for toast..ive tried most breads but without doubt the best ive tried is M&S's ordinary white farmhouse sliced.Beautiful texture and slightly moist..

Third day home baked by my husband but if you want a commercial brand I like hovis wholemeal and my husband prefers morrisons extra thick cut white. Oddly we have the only man in history here doesn't like toast too, Nate hates any toast I've never met anyone else just hates toast !

I like most breads toasted but sometimes, they just will not go brown no matter how long you toast them for. White bread is definitely best for toasting (not homemade, that just falls apart) and granary or brown bread is ok when there is nothing else.
