In this castle no we didn't go inside. went into another but had to remove shoes to protect the bare floorboards. They don't seem to fill the inside with furniture etc. The stairs inside are worst than climbing a ladder.
One thing we did notice is how little of their history there is, even their museums have very little in them. Not allowed to take photos inside the castles.
Glad we went to Japan but the northern end instead may be more interesting. We preferred China with their cultural history.
This Japanese shrine is pulled down every 20 years and rebuilt on a plot of nearby land. Think it is the same for all of them
this is one of them with the plot of land roped off next to it. Please don't ask why I don't have a clue
