Anne Widdecombe's Amazing Speech
Today, Anne Widdecombe exercised her freedom of speech in the EU Parliament, only to be called "The Chief Clown of the Brexit Party", by communist failure Guy Verhofstadt.Here is Annes speech where she explains how history has seen the oppressed people overcoming the oppressors with great examples given such as slavery overcoming their masters and peasantry overcoming feudal barrons. It's an accurate comparison and how countries became trapped within the block by the common currency and are now pushing for their own freedom.

I would have gone a lot further, and also explain how the Greeks, (who invented democracy in the first place), now struggle for their freedom from their unelected masters, as they are controlled by the enforced troika arrangements forced upon them by the EU diktat. Another example she could use is how Italy is denied its promises on delivering investment for its people, but are prevented from doing so by the EU unelected elite.
Then there is Hungary, forced to accept migrant quotas or have it's voting rights removed, again by the commission of elite bureaucrats, while bankrupt Spain gets their socialist nutcase appointed to the front bench.
I think Anne was being far too kind.

I see that perpetual rentagob David Lammy* is spouting about this speech along with his left-wing cohorts claiming that the references to slavery are "disgusting" and "offensive". Must have hit a nerve because what she says is entirely true.*Here's what the arsehole said in a Tweet
"It is impossible to explain how offensive and ahistorical it is for you to equate my ancestors tearing off their chains with your small-minded nationalist project. Shame on you. "
His ancestor's didn't `tear off` their chains, they were freed by the British who were then instrumental via the Royal Navy in halting the slave trade carried out by other countries.

Slavery happened before lammy was born. He seems to remember stuff that never happened to him.

And yes, I'm sick opf hearing Sir David Lammy of Mastermind and others criticising Britain over slavery, but that's another subject

I wonder if any of this made it to The Biased Broadcasting Corporation and other MSM; I don't watch their news any more than I need to
Certainly I haven't seen it reported on the couple of times I've watched today
