A place for everything

Do you have a place for everything and everything in its place?
I don't .
I have crap everywhere and can never find anything .

Re: A place for everything

Yes, with me it's a place for everything and everything in its place. I would really struggle to be any other way, not OCD at all but I just like everything tidy and organised. "It's how my mother put my hat on", as the saying goes!

Some of my family members are like you are Muddy, the strange thing is one in that family is not, when she tidies up nobody can find anything!

If you are organised, you have nothing to look forward to.

That sounds so familiar!

Most of my hobbies seem to be untidy ones.

Re: A place for everything

How I wish!!
The time I spend searching for my keys, spectacles, mobile phone is unbelievable.

They are the main ones but I have to search for scissors, pens & most things really.

The last time I lost my keys for over a week I was on the point of having new ones cut & then I found them in a raincoat pocket that I swore I hadn't worn for a year!!

I tried to be tidy after that but I'm slipping again...

I do have a place for everything ..or maybe just think I do because very often, I'll go to the place where an item should be and it isn't there.

But also nothing to get so damned annoyed about if I couldn't find
something because I was untidy!

Re: A place for everything

Yes I am a very organised person, everything has to be put away leaving the House spotless, my OH is worse then me, if he sees my Slippers in the lounge he will pick them up and take them upstairs to the bedroom and put them away.

As long as the place looks tidy I'm fine with that....open a cupboard and something might fall on your head though

Re: A place for everything

Yes I have 'a place for everything'. I find being organised makes life easier.
One example is the kitchen store cupboards, I can see at a glance what stock needs to be replaced and when shopping I bag things up taking into account where they go, this makes unpacking the shopping a simple excercise.
