Well blow me away. I never realised the Forth Bridge was that "golden Gate" colour. I thought it was grey. Great shot. Or is that a recent paint job?

Yes I was surprised by the colour when I first saw it.I think it's painted ,or was, in red lead.It's a beautiful thing.

Yes it's always been red but it has recently been painted with super duper oil rig paint that should last 25 years without the need for constant repainting.

I have never been over it but have seen it from the road bridge a few times. Great shot and i also like the tree frame.

That would be good. I read once that the time taken to paint it was the same time period between repaints. So, constant repainting as you said.
