They were only potential migrants Reality, just like all the
predictions of catastrophe and hardship preached for the last
three years by remainers?

But the thing is that things have got worse since the vote and we haven't even left yet.

But the migrants were a downright lie.

Yeah Donkeyman, it's all just project fear and false predictions via potential catastrophe

You just constantly change the goal posts when things don't work to your narrative. You cannot even compare Farage's prediction to the warnings that have already come to pass by those not in favour of leaving the EU.

Precisely, but what you are saying is not going to sway a leaver. They just will not accept the overwhelming evidence on display. Farage's lies and the major worsening of the British economy by virtue of a crash out don't even correlate. Leavers make these types of comparisons when they have no answers. It's just pig ignorant pride at this stage so it's pointless. And when things go completely tits up, they will blame the EU. Biting one's nose off to spite one's face rings loud and clear on this one AnnieS

If Turkey join the EU, then 70 million could arrive. In the meantime, Erdogan of Turkey in the last weeks has threatened Europe with 'opening the gates' and letting one million Syrian refugees into Europe, unless EU meet his demands.
Knowing the EU they will allow themselves to be bribed yet again, by a constitution that is now run by a dictator.

I don't know what the demands of Erdogan are, but probably more money.

Plenty of Turks have been living here for years. People from all over the world seem able to settle here. We don't have to accept them yet we do. It's not that people don't trust the eu, it's that we do not trust ourselves. Nobody seems to want to accept that it is we who are the problem.

Turkey have been trying for EU ascension since the 1980s.

The EU free movement and Merkels immigration policy have been a complete disaster.

Re: Drumming up racial fear and hatred

Some people are obsessed that those who voted to leave the EU did so because of immigration when many voted for other reasons entirely ....

https://www.over50sforum.com/showthr...44#post1757044

and also voted not to stay in the EU in 1975 when immigration was never mentioned at all.

The trouble is many who voted Remain did not know what they were voting for believing the status quo in the EU would be maintained when the contrary is true and they have aspirations for an 'empire'as stated by Guy Verhofstadt at the Liberal Democrat conference.
