Ditto, like him or not he has been more influential by not being elected to Westminster.


Tory critics mockingly say it would be only way he would ever get into the Westminster Parliament.
Whatever could they mean by that?

He said he would never accept a knighthood but would be tempted if offered a peerage, hence admission anytime to the House of Lords.
