The Labour party manifesto

It's brilliant.

No, really.

It is so obviously aimed at people who can't understand why the Austerity program had to be implemented even though it ended far too soon

And those who believe that the government should build millions of council houses for people who need to be nicely housed.

Then there's those who since Britain is such a wealthy country have a duty to share our wealth with the descendants of those who we exploited during the period of colonisation and should welcome them as part of the reparations here. Then there's our duty to share our NHS with anyone who asks. After all, we're wealthy and can afford to. Terrorists? Shame on us, they were and are freedom fighters. How about their implicit hatred for what my religion tells me that I must hate? Great to hear.

It just goes on and on. It's an unending road to a brave new world.

If I was young and naive I'd vote Labour without a moment's hesitation.

The horrific thing is that I would not be alone and that is precisely what is going to happen in a few days.

Re: The Labour party manifesto

The austerity programme was implemented solely for the needs of Right-wing ideology. It was not necessary for any other reason.

Re: The Labour party manifesto

Gerald Kaufman described his party’s 1983 manifesto as “the longest suicide note in history” and they lost the election. Quite plainly labour don't believe history will repeat itself.

Labour caused it.

Everyone knows a vote for labour is a vote for austerity further down the line. When labour get into power they are handed a gold plated economy and they leave office with a bankrupt country.... every time

What an excellent post! Funny, but absolutely accurate in all respects.

Very true about the last couple of sections, because that too is perfectly true. The whole strategy of Labour manifesto writers is to con the naive snowflakes by offering everything that their research identifies as the things that they always want: something for nothing!

It was the same thing, I'm sure, which prompted the Labour attempts to lower the voting age.

The only good thing is that it is more than likely that the Labour party will lose many of its 'traditional' seats to the Brexit Party. Boris should be grateful to them.

Re: The Labour party manifesto

Hi

This is not a joke.

My neighbours were talking today outside when I had the front door open.

They are voting Corbyn because they will each get their own Council House.

These are the 20 somethings who live with parents.
