Summer has finally arrived, it took a long time to get here. Temps are 30c+ great for a dip in the pool.
Here though it's cold, wet and winter. The central heating has been on most of the day as the maximum temperature was 8ºC and tonight it's going to be just 2ºC! Snow has been forecast for the higher ground in the far north of Scotland.
No respite for us really until the spring, most days I comment 'roll on spring' but it's a long time yet before that arrives.

Good morning everyone, clear sky and cool here but no frost, maybe showers later.Off to London today to see the Tutankhamun exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery and maybe grab a couple of hours in the British Museum this afternoon if there's time.

Just off to Sainsbury's - the cats a re anxious about all the space in their cupboard - so I had better fill it up.
Then - breakfast with a friend - and opening birthday cards!

Good morning from ‘out in the rural sticks’ to you all!Decisions, decisions – two threads to choose from this morning, I've already posted on this one, yesterday. These New Zealanders have a lot to answer for!
However, to today and it’s not raining but still wet everywhere. A fine, but rather cold and breezy day with sunny spells is the forecast. Maximum temperature 6ºC. Frosty tomorrow in rural spots (thanks) with minimum overnight temperatures of 0ºC.
No chance of doing anything outside again so it will be mundane household chores, perhaps some shopping later.
Enjoy your day everybody, whatever you may be doing.
