China Must get It's Come-uppance?

Con Goughlin, in the Daily Telegraph, says that there needs to be a reckoning with China once this emergency is over.

He argues that China was culpable in creating the epidemic, and that was followed by a breach of Trust between China and the rest of the world.

He says that they covered up the true scale of the outbreak, launched a disinformation campaign that they were the victims rather than the perps.

He says they have also exploited the pandemic for economic gain.

Apparently, they have even re-opened the live animal markets!

He believes that there must be a new look at future dealings with Beiging.

All sounds a bit right, to me, but will we (the rest of the world) do it?

Abso-bloody- lutely. The Chinese regime have got away with too much too long. Every time they are challenged on anything from human rights violations to bullying their neighbours in the region to their dodgy business practices and loan sharking smaller countries..they cry racism. This is total BS. THe world has nothing against the Chinese people. They have built great communities in Australia, the US, Britain amd all over Asia. It's this regime that is the wrongun.

Hi

Viruses can mutate anywhere.

Wild animals are eaten in many countries.

We will need the Chinese when this is all over.

What are we going to do?

Stop them building our Nuclear Power Stations?

Let's face it. Any nation that believes that drinking blood from a living snake will increase their virility needs to be avoided. Thick as sh*t.

If you want to start a pandemic you wouldn't do it in your own country.
How do we know someone is trying to shift the blame onto a country that is not universally trusted?

We should add the WHO to that list as well.

We don't ... but we do know a few governments are out of their depth and coming in for some serious criticism over how they're handling the crisis themselves so it's easier to turn angry people's wrath toward China.

I still do but that's so typical of a totalitarian regime.

The Chinese Communist Part wouldn't think twice about killing off a chunk of their population if it meant protecting them from the truth. They imprison and torture people to death all the time and this was the case with those who spoke out about this virus at the beginning of this crisis.

We should never do business with undemocratic countries.
