But can anybody tell me who has been issueing fishing licences

Or are things carrying on under EU control for now?

Simple.
We have.

See here for a little report which might make you smile and note where it says:
"The skipper Adrian McClenaghan was awarded a temporary licence to fish in UK waters"

All boats have been granted fishing licenses temporarily to ensure there is no disruption. They will all have to apply for licenses in due course.

Thanks for that Bread, so WHO issued the temporary licences ??
In due course s a very loose term ??
And no mention of who to apply to in due course, on not scrapping
with ,you, but would like to know?
About the Rockall incident, it seems to be very involved because it
seems that a Scottish boat intercepted an Irish boat in Rockall
waters where UK has jurisdiction and warned them that they can't
fish there ??? This is nonsense!! Even the people doing the fishing
don't know who is what!!
Time for us to get a grip l think?

Of course. I honestly didn't expect anything else.
Both sides support it.

The Frogs ensure they set off and get half-way across safely.

The Border Farce then pick them up and bring them the rest of the way.

It's an absolute joke, or it would be if this weren't such a serious consequence for our country.

Re: OK ! We are out!!

Thanks for the links Zaphod, l have tried to make sense of them!
On link 1/ the problem l have with it is, what is Scotland doing
interfering in a UK/Irish fishing arrangement?
Apparently Rockalls waters are within UK waters so UK has
jurisdiction over them ?? Nothing to do with EU!?
Link2/ French Minister of EU affairs Clement Beaune states that UKmust follow EU rules on fishing if we want to keep access to
tariff free trade !!
Link 3/ It states EU will continue to fish UK waters for years to come
EU will get a 25% reduction in quota spread over 5yrs and then
revert to yearly negotiations ??
None of those links sound like sovereignty to me !!
Link 3 sounds as if the 25% reduction is the limit of the reductions
we will get, and anything further will have to be fought for on a yearly
basis? But if you take link 2 &link 3 together then it means that any
further reductions will be linked to market access??
Not so good eh?
Imo, Boris must do as JBR says and stop issuing licenses to super
trawlers asap, there can be no legal repercussions as the reason
given will be for environmental reasons, particularly as these
trawlers insist on dragging their trawls through the large areas of
marine reserves that have been set up there in contravention of
the environmental laws ??
if Boris does this it will be signal to both the EU and us that he
means what he said during electioneering speeches??
And will free up free up more fish for UK fishermen if they can cope
with them, if not leave them to multiply??
There are many more things he can do if he has the will but the
above would be a good start imo!!

I confess that I haven't read any of these links, but taking them as read, I had thought that we still nominally had jurisdiction of our own waters, but that Boris (in his wisdom) had handed some rights to the EU.

Typical dictatorial Frog! They just can't give and take, they want it all. In Boris's shoes, I'd tell him to get stuffed and take his tariff-free Brie and tinny cars and shove them where the squirrel stuffs his nuts.

That's one thing which I was sure I had seen before. In fact, I think I once posted a chart showing it. So much for our regaining our waters after 5 1/2 years.
Another sell-out by Boris.

I completely agree with all of this, but I'd go further and suggest that we pull out of this one-sided agreement completely right now before we lose even more than we've lost already.

This is not Brexit as I would describe it. In fact it is not much better than remaining in the EU.

We have been conned.
