Re: Growing Stages

Will post more pictures, through the stages of growth...I love watching everything grow, the birds are always in this garden, they love bathing in my small ponds ,rather than the bird bath, I have no idea why.

This garden used to have a brick wall going straight through it, when they built these houses, you used to have to walk outside, walk round the brick wall to get to the other half of the garden, the guy who bought my house and the adjoining one took it down, the problem I have, the foundation is still there, I should have removed it, before I started building this garden up, I’m unable to plant in that area, I will post a picture of it when I first moved here...

Re: Growing Stages

deleted...I never saw I posted my address so removed the pic....another one, without my address......

I made this wilderness into a garden, it was a labour of Love, i planted everything myself, all the groundwork I did, the only thing I didn’t do was erect the fence and build the decking, nor the new front door...

Good job Pauline so glad you didn't paint the paving stones ...
I bet it is a cool green haven on a hot day (if we ever get one) ...

Thank you,Meg, not sure what I was thinking, when I suggested painting those slabs, you made me think, no,no,Pauline!......they would have looked so artificial....yes, that area is very cool ,it gets the evening sun...that area is the birds domain,

Re: Growing Stages

We had a number of oak trees last year, parts of their branches were broken by last years wind and fell to the ground, the council contracted some tree surgeons to clear them away, well, they left a pile of wood shavings, collected a few tub fulls, was able to put my slabs down and covered that area in the shavings, all free, so was well pleased...a couple of pics.
