I first heard a version of this a while back, it was on the opening credits of the film Inside Man.

I could not get it out of my head and in truth it was better than the entire film. I tracked it down on UTube, this though is a newer effort with some pretty awesome effects and scenery.

I am a great fan Meg, Judith Durhams voice is one of the best female voices in the World in my humble opinion. I have to say female singers don't impress me much, I don't know why and I have nothing against any of them, but my missus will tell you anytime I hear Judith or Brenda Lee, I'm off in a magical trance, (God help me)

Meg darlin' - Judith Durham's song "The Carnival is over" is actually a Russian folk song entitled Stenka Razin". Go to Youtube, type in Ivan Rebroff/Stenka Razin and listen to one of the most powerful, beautiful voices ever. Sadly he died several years ago, but I have a number of his CDs. His "Little Bell" is a master-class in voice control.

Annie it's amazing isn't it how music has the power to transport one back across the years to another time...
