I've used Thunderbird in the past. I can't remember why I stopped using it to be honest.

Ohh Thunderbird...I remember that one. It gathered all your different email accounts, didn't it, and gave you them in one thunderbird account. Like if you had Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail, ect. Never used it myself, but I can see how it would be useful.

Cleaning your PC regulary will greatly improve its' performance. Try either:

CCleaner Free (Piriform, now owned by Avast, so watch out for unwanted software/links)

https://www.ccleaner.com/

or Privazer (my recommendation ..... )

https://privazer.com/en/

Try Privazer first - the initial clean will take some time but after that you can choose to run a simple (internet only) or complex clean .....

So when you say "clean", Omah, what does it do exactly?

Gets rid of residual and accumulating data on your PC:

With simply one click, PrivaZer is able to clean securely

. Internet browsers
. Index.dat
. Cookies
. Cookies Tor
. Cookies Flash
. Cookies Silverlight
. DOM Storage
. IndexedDB
. AppCache

. Registry
. RAM
. Pagefile.sys and Hiberfil.sys files

. Use of software
. Messengers
. Histories of visited websites, videos, software, opened docs, etc
. Jumplists
. Recycle bin
. Temp files
. Log files
. Invalid Prefetch entries
. Indexing service
. ThumbCaches, Thumbs.db

. Residual traces of deleted files
. Free space
. File table (MFT or FAT)
. INDEX attributes in MFT
. USN Journal, etc
There will be tens of thousands of used but unwanted "bits" on your PC - getting rid if them will be like cleaning out a garage or shed. Running a "defrag" afterwards will be like putting back those items you really need, in an order in which they can easily be found.

The result will be a faster PC. Cleaning and defragging should be run on a regular basis (usually weekly for most users, but I do mine daily).
