I did think the 'flirting' and behaviour more fitting to younger members of staff would have been totally out of character for someone like Anna she is always the calm sensible one.

Re: Downton Abbey

After all she had been through previously I think letting her hair down a bit was completely in character, she is a young woman and I think she probably felt safe in her own home/ workplace and in being married, all things that would have made her feel she could let her hair down with no repercussions.

Good episode. Didn't Anna's attacker , used to be in Eastenders (Dennis).
I agree with Julie post. You would feel very safe in a place you had lived in, and worked.

I'm not an EE watcher but I think he was in it from what others are saying. Quite a decent actor he was all too believable I thought

Yes, I though that nasty Mr Whtsisname played the part "too well" for my liking. Poor ANNA, Poor Mr Bates.

Apart from that observation I have great admiration for the costumes, the scenery & settings and the attention to detail & the marvellousscript by Julian Fellowes is unbeatable. No wonder the Yanks like it so much.

Yes, I agree with that Julie. She was on telly earlier this morning and they were talking about her maybe leaving the series towards the end of this run. That'll be a pity if she does.

Re: Downton Abbey

She was interviewed this morning doesn't sound like she is going anywhere soon, she has made a couple of things in the down time they get between series, as have others.

She has something coming out soon by the makers of train spotting so doesn't sound like my sort of thing but I will bet she is good in it as she seems to be a great actress,

Re: Downton Abbey

Oh, perhaps I misheard then Julie, I thought they said she was going at the end of the series. I hoped not, I like her, as I do most of the characters in Downton.

Re: Downton Abbey

I don't want to give any spoilers but I have heard something about her going for a short while, but definitely not leaving. Another character will be away at the same time.
