Talk about kicking you when you are down! The police and the army knew what was happening but were too busy rescuing folk to do anything about it. I would not go until they agreed to let me lock up my house.
It is, just awful - they seem to be devoid of feeling .....

Re: Looting.

Having been through it my heart goes out the flood victims. It takes months to rid the house of the smells and, even then, it never really feels the same.

Re: Looting.

Folks behave in strange ways given a certain set of circumstances, if you were given free hand, in strange circumstance, can you be sure, you would not Loot?.

I like to think I wouldn't SF.

The only thing I'd be likely to pinch is any pets left behind.

Re: Looting.

Mups, as you are aware, I never state anything as fact, I would also like to think I wouldn't, but rather than peruse a hypothetical situation, I just hope I don't get flooded out.

Re: Looting.

Hang, draw and quarter them, then pour boiling oil!

I hate these despicable people, whether it's flood victims, or shops, and feel so sorry for those who lose out. I can fully understand residents wanting to stay with their homes if they feel the contents and personal belongings are under threat.
