Very few in my experience have turned their nose up to my chivalry, 99.9% would smile and say thankyou which is what makes it worth while.

Yes I agree, women do want equality and I would never expect a man to do all those things like opening the door for me or pulling out my chair but, if they do, I still appreciate it. To me a gentleman is somebody who has good manners and is polite and friendly because those are the same values that I would offer to him. In fact, I believe they are the values that everybody should offer to each other
