West Cornwall - last weekend
I thought I'd share some of the photos I took last weekend on our break in Cornwall. As you can see, I usually limit my photographic efforts to landscapes (when I'm not photographing my dogs).
The weather we had was mixed (sunshine and stormy showers) which made for some interesting light effects:
This was the rainbow outside our cottage after a storm shower:
The cottage was an ideal point for photographing sunrise:
and moonrise:
We visited the beach at Mawgan Porth and took some shots of the beach and from the caves:
On Fistral Beach, Newquay, we captured some surfers (a favourite hobby in my younger days):
The light on Gyllyvase beach Falmouth was amazing:
On the way home we visited Glastonbury:
Although the Tor and Abbey are still powerfully evocative, the town itself is a real disappointment - dozens of identical "head shops" selling a mishmash of "spiritual" artefacts. Who'd have thought that the hippy dream would end up in such tacky commerciality?
Hope you like the images
