I deal with a few wasps nests every year normally.

I use the wasp grubs as bait for chub fishing.

I do it at night, just a teaspoon of powder at the entrance to the nest.

I have a contract with pest controllers. They come every six weeks to top,up bait boxes because of a major rat problem last year. Fortunately they arrived for their 6 week check when the wasps were on the rampage, and dealt with them immediately.
