Good job you didn't take me then Nom, I blubbed on and off throughout the film, and most of the way home too. Even hearing the music started me off again! (I can visualise you shaking your head in disbelief and disgust)!

On a more serious note though - many years ago, a friend of ours used to occasionally tell his little boy a tale with a sad ending. I thought this was rotten of him because the lad had a little cry at times. But his Dad used to say he wanted his son to learn about emotion, and learn it was o.k. to feel sad. He felt that too many times you hear someone saying "boys don't cry" but he believed it was natural to cry when you're hurt or sad, and should be nothing to be ashamed.
What's the general opinion on that train of thought?
