Re: GP Suspended
Right from childhood I had a problem with getting swollen glands - very painful to swallow and usually needed antibiotics. When I was about 21, I had moved to Longbridge (where hubby worked) and had to see the GP for antibiotics - he told me to undress to the waist which I thought was a bit odd as I'd never been asked to do that before so they could feel my neck! Suffice to say, it wasn't my neck he felt. Being 21 and not sure what GPs should and shouldn't do, I went home and told hubby - he promptly marched down to that surgery and, apparently, all hell broke loose. That GP continued to practice there. Strange but in those days, you didn't question them or complain about them and it didn't occur to me to do that. Nowadays, I'm a bit more savvyRe: GP Suspended
Re: GP Suspended
It's probably that chain of command thing. I was watching an episode of Air Crash Investigation and one crash happened simply because neither the first officer or that chap that sits behind them would tell the captain he was doing something wrong - out of deference for his position; that deference cost over 200 people their lives. Deference is fine but when a line is being crossed, deference should go out of the window
