Good morning Carol and thank you.
I was born in an Anderson Shelter in Bridge Road less than a mile from Hampton Court Palace during a air raid in 1940. The shelter of course is no longer there but a grassed traffic island still marks the spot. We moved to Thornton Heath Surrey in 1942 where i remained up until i got married in 1962.

Not an EZ one to answer as there have been so many. I guess it has to be the day my eldest son was born which just happened to be just nine months after our wedding day. We didn't plan it that way and if things had worked out the way two naive kids thought it would, our boys would all be five years younger. Like many others we thought, very stupidly i might add..." You cant get pregnant the first time!" How wrong can you be! But now with the benefit of hindsight we wouldn't have changed a thing.
