yellow wagtail

I was quite some distance away, one of those times I wish I had taken my 80-400 mm lens. Annoying because this 70-200 mm lens is the first time I took it to get to know its capabilities

They come in a lot of varieties Malcolm, especially in head colour, bonny birds indeed.

Re: yellow wagtail

Easy mistake to make, it's a wagtail and is yellow!
It says in my bird book that in summer plumage males are often mistaken for yellow ones.
Perhaps Realspeed was testing you!

Re: yellow wagtail

Yes I always presumed the grey wagtail was in fact a yellow wagtail because of its yellow markings and was surprised to discover my mistake !
