Up to 4 hours delay reported at popular airports. Doesn't apply to the rest of Europe who have open borders.
As we are still in the EU, may I suggest the same checks are applied to EU ciizens coming to the UK. Just to even the playing fields, perhaps we can send half of the Passport Controllers on holiday.
I think that the Spanish authorities would have the nous to put extra staff on at holiday times .
Seeing as tourism is a major part of their economy and the British tourist is still one of their major customers.
I think the passport control queues move fairly quickly here, but they still manage to apprehend people who have flown out of UK with out of date passports. (These people are then thrown into deep, dark dungeons and never heard of again).
One answer is to block all tourism to Spain etc, then let us see how quickly they react to alter their thinking
You don't agree with tighter safety controls on who is entering a country? Why not just ban anyone from leaving or entering the UK, that should sort things out to your satisfaction.

Remember what happened to Grandad in Only Fools And Horses?
I think this is needed and will apply everywhere before long. All countries have a right to feel safe and know who is crossing their border. We voted to do that it's only polite to allow others the same courtesy.
