Fallon's Replacement.

So the new Minister of Defence has never been in the military nor had any experience whatsoever in the defence industry, but is a "safe pair of hands" and acolyte of May. There are many former Service personnel in parliament, but their expertise is ignored in favour of a lacky. Why not use those with experience and knowledge? Perhaps she doesn't want people of independent mind?

He was May's ex-chief whip - so he knows where the bodies are buried and who planted them!!!

Williamson's appointment doesn't seem to be going down too well does it?

It's being likened to the plot of House of Cards and suggested that Williamson himself was instrumental in achieving Fallon's resignation.

And Brexiters don't much like the fact that he's a Remainer.

John McDonnell is hardly a 'yes' man, in fact, as I recall, Jeremy and John have had several 'differences of opinion' which the press have delighted in reporting.

It's well known that ministers are not necessarily in the correct post, that applies to all parties. As soon as they learn about their job, they get reshuffled.

Parliament on all sides does stupid things like this, people in rolls they are blatantly unsuitable for, that's part of the reason the country is in a mess IMO

Although I do wonder if we are just getting what we deserve as we vote for idiots most of the time.
