It was the very first time I realised Donald had a son and not because I saw his name.

Re: Anyone for Vampires ?

I enjoyed reading Anne Rices Interview with the Vampire and thought the vampire Lestat was great and the way she described him in her book..

Interview with the Vampire is a debut gothic horror and vampire novel by American author Anne Rice, published in 1976. Based on a short story Rice wrote around 1968, the novel centers on vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac, who tells the story of his life to a reporter. Rice composed the novel shortly after the death of her young daughter Michelle, who served as an inspiration for the child-vampire character Claudia. Though initially the subject of mixed critical reception, the book was followed by a large number of widely popular sequels, collectively known as The Vampire Chronicles. A film adaptation was released in 1994, starring Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise, and the novel has been adapted as a comic three times.

Nah, don't like anything like vampires, zombies etc.
They used to scare me as a youngster, and I still won't watch them now.

Re: Anyone for Vampires ?

TessA, yes I remember Keifer in The Lost Boys, it was a fun movie and he was indeed very good in it.
I had forgotten Salems Lot, now that rather pale gentleman you certainly wouldn't want at your bedroom window.
Modern Vampires appear to enjoy a little garlic, walk freely in sunshine , thanks to 'daylight rings' and don't mind a bit of rain.
The good old stake through the heart and fire still do the job for common Vampires.

But they have developed and now there are Hybrids, they are part Vampire part werewolf or part witch. They are much harder to eradicate.

But when it comes to the Salvatore brothers in The Vampire Diaries and Niklaus and Elijah in The Originals, well you might want them to stick around a bit longer.

Re: Anyone for Vampires ?

[QUOTE=callistra;1031503]I noticed the thread on The Walking Dead, Zombies, so thought I would enquire if others liked Vampire programmes. I have always had a soft spot for Vampires, from the old Dracula, Christopher Lee movies onwards./QUOTE]

I grew up with Hammer House of Horror and love most things Vampire related (as well as Zombies) The Blade films were great, and I did enjoy Interview With The Vampire, as well as The Twilight saga.

Summer its Walking Dead night, but I wont catch up until tomorrow, so not a word yet.
