Re: A huge dog

Thank you Mags. I'm sure that's what he must be but he is most certainly the biggest Great Dane I have ever seen, and I've seen more than a few. You never know, I might come across him again and if I do I will most certainly ask about him.

Re: A huge dog

I know nowt about dogs, but his chops look like a St Bernard's to me, and he does have the size of a Great Dane, so mayhap he's a cross? He'd be more expensive to keep than me in food, I know that much.

Re: A huge dog

Mag's is right - that's a Harlequin Great Dane

Lovely dogs, but with terribly short life-spans around 6 years

Re: A huge dog

Thats the trouble wth large dogs Azz none of them live long as their heart can't support the body weight. Also surprised to see it in Spain as generally the Spanish are afraid of large dogs. Maybe not Spanish owned though.

He is Harlequin Great Dane. A wee bit over weight, but a great dane for sure. My ex and I (he is still in the biz) bred/raised/showed Gt Danes.

Re: A huge dog

There is Great Dane comes on our park sometimes. The girl has his niece as well. Both are black dogs. Norman weighs 21st & Connie who is about 18 months is quite a bit smaller. They are gorgeous dogs. All the kids in the park come gathering round Norman - they cant believe how big he is.
The girl who owns them lives in a 1 bedroom flat along with about 24 rescue cats I cant see the girl having much room for herself with that lot around
They are very soft & love nothing more than cuddles - I like them cause I dont have to bend down to cuddle them
