Italy has now gone on a total lockdown. Unfortunately, I think it is a case of closing the barn door after the cows have escaped. Cases in Italy: 9,263, deaths 463. This number is changing by the minute.

In Seattle, Washington, 10 nursing homes have active cases of covid-19. One nursing home has had 19 deaths. The Seattle blood bank is pleading for more whole blood.

There is some talk about putting the entire U.S. on lock down. No flights into or out of the U.S. unless each passenger has a true emergency.

I'd call it selfish panicking.

Most people, at least I hope most people, would not sink to that level. I know I wouldn't anyway.

It is also rather stupid when you consider that washing hands properly can be at least as effective as using hand sanitiser.
