Will it breakup?
No, far too valuable as a Free Trade Area.
It will however go backwards, not forwards, returning to a simple Free Trade Area.
The facts are very simple, 27 different economies cannot share a single currency.

The EU will be either a full blown federalist state or it will disintegrate completely. Germany would never allow it to disintegrate as it would take Germany down with it, both financially and politically.
