The US elections and Brexit are very much inter-linked. Where Trump is draining the swamp in the US, we are doing much the same here with the civil service and the EU.
Agreed and it has been much-needed for many years in both instances.
Brexit is the best opportunity that this country has had in modern times for a hard "reset" - at an ideal time too, even disregarding any consequences of Covid.
China is increasingly showing its' hand; we're at the dawn of another industrial revolution with reducing reliance on fossil fuels; climate change and more (we're growing previously-unheard-of-in-the-country crops and grape varieties now for example).
I'm not saying Boris will make the most of the opportunity; frankly I don't know (who does?)
BUT we have the opportunity.
If we now do not make the most of it, we only have ourselves to blame.
Within the EU we would not even have the opportunity.
