Re: Father Ted

Father Ted is a favourite here too. Another brilliant episode is the one where he bought Mrs Doyle a tea-making machine. She was by far the funniest, always nearly falling out of the window

Re: Father Ted

My favourite is the one where they gave up something for lent, Dougal gave up roller blading, that was hiliarious, my other favourite one is the one already mentioned where a load of priests go shopping in a department store and get lost in the womens lingerie section.

Re: Father Ted

Father Ted is my favourite sitcom!
I have the boxed set on DVD.
I love all the characters especially Father Jack!
They only made three series and one Christmas special that ran from 1995-1998.
Sadly Dermot Morgan who played Father Ted died in 1998 aged 45.

I too really enjoyed it while it lasted, and I haven't seen a funnier sitcom since...

I agree!
Father Ted and a lot of the old sitcoms are the best.

IMHO A lot of modern day sitcoms...especially American ones
...aren't funny.
Not Going Out is an exception!

Re: Father Ted

Now that you've mentioned the box set on DVDs Lesley, I think I'll look for them in the library.
