I remember that Joe, also "Dan Dare" pilot of the future, how contented we were in those days, best thing about them being on the radio was we could imagine our perfect spaceship, and the girls had such sexy voices, probably dragons, but they sounded great on the radio.

Jim matey there was a journalist friend of Denis Thatcher (phth, phth,phth) - Bill Deedes who was the spitting image of the Mekon in Dan Dare.

I remember it well, it was my favourite program on Children's Hour.

For years I remembered ... Guy Kingsley-Pointer as 'Doc'... purely because of the actors double barrelled name.

Now I have the first couple of the series as MP3 files. Alfie Bass was Lemmy in some of them, David Kossoff in others. Andrew Faulds was Jet Morgan but I forget who played Mitch (I am in Malaysia at the moment so can't check the recordings)
