It's not the use of the word God that irritates me, it's the stupid way people say it. Simon Cowell actually said O.M.G. recently - I could give him a good slapping, the ridiculous man.

Read a word today in my book (about Chinese and Japanese people in America) .... the word was doable.
At first thought it was an Asian word, and then (doh) realised what it was, I've decided it is going on my list

I agree with that one. I think it is something we got from Aussie soaps where all the females end every sentence with a rising inflexion. It sounds like every statement is a question and I've noticed it spreading to males now as well as females.
