I think I may shut my window as all I can hear is a backyard party next door and loud country music. Will put on something soothing to fall asleep to. My default is usually the Brandenburg Concertos...

I sympathise Sue darlin' - we get that here too - one of my neighbours () is a musician and practises on a full-sized drum kit in a shed he built in his back garden. We also have the barbeque set as well. Being a chronic asthmatic, when they start up the barbeque (normally late afternoon/early evening) I have to shut all my windows as 'smoke and pollution' are my 'triggers' for an attack.
