Re: old fashioned perfume

Aramis after shave was my favourite then, and is still going strong. I remember Hai-Karate and the famous tv ad. Mother never used the word perfume, it was always scent.

Re: old fashioned perfume

My husband uses Aramis wont use anything else and I hate it, wish he'd use Old Spice love the smell.
Years ago he bought me a small bottle of Roman Holiday dont remember who made it but it was very expensive, first time I had it in my Handbag my Bag flew open while I was standing waiting to get off a Bus the Bottle fell and broke and the bus smelt divine, but I was very upset.
I also love English Fern somebody else mentioned.

Re: old fashioned perfume

I remember way back when I was in the forces, a boyfriend was in the Marines and was just back from Aden, he bought me some perfume from the duty free, J'aime, by I believe Jacques 'Aime (spelling could be wrong). I remember it smelled fabulous, so good in fact that someone flippin well nicked it!!

Also still like Cabochard (by Gres), Chantilly, and one called (I think) White Linen which have been unable to track down.

My grandmother had a bottle of 4711 - don't know whether this is still made, who it was made by or whether it was any good.
