Re: Christmas Telly.

I have just got the Xmas Radio Times and am thrilled skinny (I wish...) to find my favourite series is back for the third time: Last Tango in Halifax! Anne Reid is such a great actress, as is Sarah Lancashire, and the previous two series were a real treat. And if we're talking porn on various threads, you can keep it, but the sight of Reid as a 60+ widow having it off with Daniel Craig in The Mother a few years back, was quite enjoyable and full of promise for the older cougar!

I'll be getting out my Battlestar Galactica and Game of Thrones boxed DVD sets and that will see me through the dire holiday TV.

Re: Christmas Telly.

Yes Dear has metaphorically 'ringed' several things she wants to watch.
Well, actually, she said 'we' want to watch.
I have no idea about most of it-though I did see 'Grenville' is now the shopkeeper in "Open all hours"...that might be worth a look.

Re: Christmas Telly.

Yes I'm glad LTIH is back. Written by the clever Sally Wainwright, who also penned Sarah Lancashire's Happy Valley.

See, us women are capable of writing good tv dramas. I believe she also did At Home With The Braithwaites, about the lottery winner.

A very clever woman, with a great imagination. The same can also be said about Kay Mellor.

I've already circled all the tv programmes I want to watch, right through to 2nd January. The benefit of living alone.

No - it really isn't, Pug. It is apathetic attempt to milk a dry cow!

Re: Christmas Telly.

As I will be spending Christmas Day with friends who are TV addicts I will not be able to escape the thing. They switch their TV on when they come down in the mornings and it stays on until they go to bed. They are both slightly deaf as well - so it is always at a volume that makes my ears cringe!
