Dream plant

Is there a plant you've always wanted but for some reason not been able to acquire?
I've got a hankering for a silver birch tree with shaggy peeling bark, Silver Shadow I think they're called.
Even if I find one they're so expensive, I couldn't afford one, but one day...

Yes...this one !
A Hydrangea Aspera
I have 'stolen' some cuttings and am trying hard to raise them....the last ones I took were doing well until the dreaded vine weevil got 'em

Re: Dream plant

An apple tree would be my choice I don't have room for one in my garden.

No silver bitch thank you, my neighbour has one and I have to cope with the bits of seeds that come off it and get everywhere even in the bath

In the winter twiggy bits come off it too and cover the lawn.

Re: Dream plant

I would love to have a mature "Magic Dogwood" - (Cornus florida subspecies urbiniana) tree....... but they are so rare I have never seen one for sale.
