Re: Labour-the fallout from the referendum.

Hi

Anyone else just as fed up with me with this whole business?

Both Labour and Conservatives are infighting, no regard for us at all.

Both lots should put aside their differences and work together for the people who elected them.

There is a mass of work to be done to get us out of the EU at minimal cost and back on the road to recovery, instead they are more interested in themselves.

I just wish we could sack the lot of them and start again, with Politicians who are in touch with the people and what we want.

I get the feeling the electorate are the last to be considered by many of our politicians.
Whatever happened to loyalty and integrity , it certainly seems to be in short supply just now.

Re: Labour-the fallout from the referendum.

If any of you may recall, I predicted a 'night of the long knives' when Hilary Benn spoke out in support of the 'nasty party's' bombing of Syria last year. A little late maybe, but nonetheless welcome - the bliarite wing of the party are now getting their just desserts and are being obliterated inside the Labour Party - not before time!!!

That is why the whole system needs changing, so we have in place something whereby the politicians do represent the feelings of the electorate. Sadly I don't think the political elite will be willing to hand power over despite all their hollow applause for the people having spoken. The vast majority will continue to be unrepresented.

Re: Labour-the fallout from the referendum.

Hi

Just to let you know that I have resigned as well.

I am not a member of the Labour Party, or any Political Party for that matter.

It is just that I do not like to be left out of things and as today is a day for resigning I want to be part of it.

Re: Labour-the fallout from the referendum.

Now we have fixed term parliaments another election is not necessarily on the cards so I think these Labour MPs may be being a bit previous forcing a leadership battle just now when we could be years from an election .

A newly elected Tory leader in October may not be too happy to call an election with more upheaval in the midst of the EU leave negotiations getting underway .

I hope there isn't some subplot here by the 'remainers' to try to push for an early election to enable them to produce a manifesto to stay in the EU, another referendum by the back door.
