I just checked the receipt of my chain, the weight given is 61.80g.

Today’s scrap price for 22 ct Gold is £26 per gram so you could reasonably expect to get around £1400 - £1500 for your chain from a reputable gold buyer rather than one of the rip off merchants.

Re: Have You Ever Sold Scrap Gold?

Hi

OK, time to own up.

The EX went ape and threw her wedding and engagement ring into the garden.

Her Solicitor then wanted them back, I could not find them, so invited her to come and get them and went out for the day when her and new man came.

They could not find them and the matter was then dropped from the Financial Settlement.

Some two years later, I had a leak in the Garden Pond and low and behold, there they were.

She had taken me for everything, so when I found them, just pure luck,.I kept them.

Did I feel a shred of remorse?

Nope, she had even taken me for my injury pension.

The wedding ring was sold for scrap, the engagement ring was sold for far more than I paid for it, it was antique.

I spent the money on a great holiday with a new lady , it made it all the sweeter.
