I think it's more about acknowledging the people who have been good enough to read your problem and offer you their considered advice and then not following up the thread with the solution you have decided upon, more a question of good manners I think, but hey ho no-one's perfect !

And I would have given time Malcolm it takes a few weeks to see if a plant is doing better, we only see them at the weekends it's early days for saying they will live or die.You often demand answers as if I am here at your command, I'm not I have a life and can only answer when I have an answer, I doubt anyone else felt I needed to come back so soon and thank them for saving the plants.

People who offer that advice are interested in your problem and want to help you, If it were me who had asked for the advice I would have been glad to say thanks to them and ensure that I would keep them informed and not wait until someone was prompted to ask what was the outcome and if any of the advice given had been taken.
I'm sorry if you choose not to agree with me, but we are all different aren't we ?
By the way did you check for vine weevil grubs ?

Well just popped in to say the saucer under the plant pots is working well, it seems the theory the water was leaching through too fast was correct, leaves have perked up nicely and we have two flowers on one plant and one flower on the other. So thank you for that advice it worked !|
