A christmas tale

One christmas day many years ago Santa was due to to go and help in his toy factory so all the little boys and girls got their pressies on Christmas day.
When he woke up on this particular morning he had a bad cold but determined to not let them down he got up for his breakfast.
Mrs Christmas knew he wasn't well so hadn't cooked him any. Time was getting on so Santa put on his boots coat and hat and stepped outside into a deep snow drift.
It was that deep that the snow went over his boots and got his socks wet, but determined to carry on to the toy factory he got out his sleigh. When he went to round up his reindeer to pull it one of them had hurt his leg and wa limping. So he called out to his wife to fetch the vet.

Still determined to get to the toy factory he trudged through the deep snow for 3 miles until he eventually got to the toy factory and opened he door.

What a shock met his eyes, all the Gnomes and elves were on strike for more pay and nothing was being made. So being a good employer he negioated a pay rise for them all, but by this time it was home time

So off he trundled the 3 miles back to his house to find he had been locked out. This meant he had to wait until his wife returned and he got extremely cold. Eventually he got inside and removed his outdoor clothes and sat down infront of a roaring log fire with a pint of beer.

He had just settled down when there was a knocking on the front door. That is all he wanted, he had a cold- no food -wet feet-a poorly reindeer . So in not too good a mood he got up and went to the front door and opened it.

There standing infront of him was a fairly carrying a christmas tree. Angryly he told her where to shove it.

And that dear members is why you find Fairies on top of Christmas trees.
