What sort of deal would we have got if we could have waited for
a couple of weeks more??
I should'nt try to cash the cheque yet as the tax money wont have
been collected yet and it may bounce?

We pay the 39 billions over years and years DM. To be honest, we can withdraw our money as soon as they default in the withdrawal bill. Think of it as security... its easier to swallow

Better get saving, its going to be very, very expensive. You might want to consider some of the frozen stuff from the USA ..
You haven't read boris' deal, and the withdrawal agreement on fisheries. From boris' deal:

Legislation as defined in point (2) of Article 5 of Regulation (EU) No 952/2013 shall apply to and
in the United Kingdom in respect of Northern Ireland (not including the territorial waters of
the United Kingdom). However, the Joint Committee shall establish the conditions, including in
quantitative terms, under
which certain fishery and aquaculture products, as set out in Annex I
to Regulation (EU) 1379/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council2
, brought into the
customs territory of the Union defined in Article 4 of Regulation (EU) No 952/2013 by vessels
flying the flag of the United Kingdom and having their port of registration in Northern Ireland
are exempted from duties.

Nope - only until end 2020 (withdrawal period) latest. After that, it gets torn up. It's only in the political declaration which is not legally binding that the EU has influence over UK territorial waters after the transition period.

Bye !

I believe he prefers a modified May's deal in which the UK is under the control of the EU in perpetuity, and under which rules we may be taken advantage of by Brussels to the full extent of their wishes.

He would prefer us to continue to pay billions every year into the EU's coffers for absolutely no return.

In short, he would like us to become a slave to the EU with absolutely no rights or redress.

Why? The dutch margiris under lithuanian flag is emptying the channel quite nicely. And as you can see in the boris/may deal, that will continue for some years.

That's funny donks. Did you know the hull of the Margiris was built in 1985 as a waste incineration ship at the American shipyard Tacoma Boat in Tacoma, Washington. After this company ran into financial problems, further construction was stopped. Eventually the ship was completed as a trawler at Mjellem & Karlsen in the Norwegian port city of Bergen and was launched there in 1997 as the Apollo Two. The ship was then named Siberian Enterprise, Atlantic Star and Annelies Ilena, until it was named Margiris in 2006.
It will be easy to convert it to a waste incinerator, in the future they will be needed. So the future of the margiris is quite safe.
